This Saturday I...

...went to Brighton.
It was a lovely day, well, a lovely by English standards that is !!
Here we are leaving home at 10:00.

Saturdays journey was primarily to get all of us a hair cut.
That's me, K and H my youngest daughter. Strange as it may seem, it's perfectly normal in our household to do a 100 mile round trip to get ya' hair cut.
K, my partner, has never been happy with her hair cut. No matter where she tried or how much she paid,  it never ever seemed to hit the mark. Girls, I guess you'll be able to sympathise here.
She's now found a salon and a stylist that gets it right everytime. Terry at Trevor Sorbie, your a genius.
So, it's worth every penny of the trip, the price of the car park, the petrol, the time and the effort getting there.
Traffic was heavy and slow getting into Brighton, a hotel on the sea front at Hove that was in the middle of being renovated had collapsed, so traffic was being diverted all over the show, it didn't unduly delay us, just frazzled my nerves a little sitting in a pointless queue.
Finally parked up in our regular carpark...

we headed for the salon.
Not being up for paying out £65 for a haircut, I tootle up the road to the North Laines and get a reasonable cut in  Clippers for £8.50. BARGAIN.
After 20 minutes of snipping and trimming and a dollop or two of B&W, I'm sporting a new hair cut and am heading back to Trevor Sorbie to pick up the ladies.
With 35 minutes to kill, I decide to stop in the park at the Pavilion Gardens Cafe next to the Brighton Pavilion

and take a seat at a table on the patio, ordering myself a large coffee and a home-made slice of shortbread.

The sun was shining, the birds were singing... heavenly.
After 25 minutes sitting and watching the world trundle by, I pop through to the salon and collect my ladies beofre unleashing the car from the carpark and heading back home.
We're currently redecorating the living room at Chez Pixel and we take a little detour in to Homebase for supplies.

After loading a trolley with three tins of Dulux paint and a new paintbrush or two, it's back home to get cracking with the decorating.
I spent the rest of the weekend doing...

and...

I'm now back at my desk enjoying the rest !!!!
Bank Holiday weekend, what, you mean there was a Bank Holiday ????
